DanceWays, L.L.C. Class Policies
Classes are grouped according to age and advancement. If the minimum number of
student registration is not met for a class, alternative classes may be suggested.
Parents are asked to
wait outside the classroom during class so the children will not be distracted. (Please let your child's instructor know
if your emergency contact number changes, in case we do need to reach you during class.) Parents, siblings, grandparents,
and friends are encouraged to come to the last regularly scheduled class of each session for the Relaxed Recital.
Tuition/Make-Up Policy: Class tuition is based on an entire session and is divided into monthly payments. All closings
are accounted for in the monthly fee structure and there will be no prorating do to holidays. Payments are due the first class
of the month. A $10.00 late fee will be assessed for payments received after the 15th of each month, and a $20.00 fee will
be charged for returned checks. If payment falls 2 months or more behind, students may not be able to attend class until the
account is paid current.
Siblings of a registered student will receive a $10.00 discount on tuition each
month siblings tuitions are current.
Any registered student who refers a new student (other than a sibling) will
receive $20 off their tuition bill for one month.
Scholarships are available based upon registration. Please contact
Mrs. Kimberly if you are interested in learning more about these.
If classes are missed due to illness or family
schedule conflicts, they may be made up in another class, at the discretion of the instructor. Tuition will not be refunded.
If classes are canceled due to inclement weather, they will be made up on the days reserved for this at the end of the sessions.
If there are other types of schedule changes for any reason, you will be notified as soon as possible.
Dress:
Ladies may wear any color leotard or fitted shirt they can move easily in, leggings or tights and ballet shoes. Secure hair
in a ponytail, headband or bun. Gentlemen may wear any exercise sweats or pants, fitted shirt they can move in, and ballet
shoes.
Prompt arrival is very important so that warm-up time is not missed. If the student must leave early, please
let the instructor know at the beginning of class.
Dance Journals will be handed out at the student's first
class. Please help them remember to bring Dance Journals to each class!
Inconsiderate language, roughhousing and
any inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. We share space with other organizations and must practice good behavior
to show respect for them and be able to focus and learn ourselves. Recurring disruptive behavior will be discussed with parents
immediately.
Please Note: In an effort to keep our kids safe and keeping in mind the busy locations in which we
hold classes, students will be ‘handed off' one at a time to the parent or guardian at the end of class. Please
let the instructor know if the person who brought the student, will not be the same person picking them up. Please be patient,
these few extra minutes are important.
All students must be covered by their own family insurance as it is the
only source of reimbursement if injury occurs; and it is understood that DanceWays, L.L.C. will not be held responsible.
Relaxed Recitals will be held during the last regularly scheduled class of each session. Family members and friends
are encouraged to come to that class to watch and show support for their student. Recital costumes are owned and provided
by DanceWays, LLC.
DanceWays performance troupe is open to all students, and involves performing in friendly settings
such as The Oaks Nursing Home in Huntersville.
Please respond to occasional surveys so DanceWays may consider
your wishes for your student. Thank you!
